Tickets to the industry’s event of the year have sold out in a matter of weeks, as real estate professionals rushed to save their seats at the 2016 Real Estate Business Awards.
Ticket sales surged following the announcement of this year’s finalists on 2 May. More than 200 finalists have been named ahead of the highly anticipated event, to be held on Thursday, 16 June at The Star in Sydney.
The sell-out event will see more than 800 real estate professionals come together to recognise the industry’s top performers.
This year’s Real Estate Business Awards covers 27 categories and reflects the evolution and maturation of leading real estate operators and networks.
Winners in the individual categories on the night will automatically be shortlisted for the coveted REB Excellence award.
Awards will be presented to the best individuals, groups and corporates in the real estate industry.
Two new categories have been introduced this year – Newcomer of the Year and Digital Presence of the Year. Property Management Business of the Year has been split into two categories this year – offices with six or fewer PMs and offices with seven or more PMs.
Ten agencies have made the shortlist for the Digital Presence of the Year award, which will be presented by principal partner realestate.com.au.
In the corporate award categories, nine agencies have been named as finalists for the Innovator of the Year gong, while one of five real estate heavyweights will be crowned Major Network of the Year (40 or more offices).
