NSW Meals on Wheels has announced the appointment of leading Sydney agent Louise Snowden to its company board of directors.

Les MacDonald, CEO of NSW Meals on Wheels, said the organisation feels fortunate in having the best business and community leaders to lend a hand and guide the charity.

“The company board is focused on using their skills and expertise to find creative ways to raise funds and to seek corporate sponsorship for us as we continue to evolve and remain relevant in an extremely competitive landscape and as we shape the future for our organisation for the next 60 years,” he said.

Louise Snowden is an associate director at Raine & Horne Double Bay. Over her 25-year real estate career, a decade of that as director of Snowden Lane Estate Agents, she has been involved in the sale of many prestigious homes across Sydney and the Southern Highlands in varied economic climates.

“I am completely honoured, humbled and privileged to be offered a director position on the company board,” Ms Snowden said.

“Meals on Wheels is such an important organisation loved by generations of Australians."

“Having elderly or disabled people in our lives is something we can all relate to, and Meals on Wheels provides an opportunity to maintain a good level of independence in one’s home, as well as social interaction – things that we should not take for granted. I look forward to working alongside this passionate group of people.”

Ms Snowden's new role was effective 16 May.
