A challenger property website has continued its growth path with record results for unique visitors, agent registrations and landlord listings.
Rent.com.au achieved more than 700,000 unique visitors to its website in May, while recording more than 1,600 agent registrations in the past three months, according to its most recent ASX announcement.
The website's ongoing growth has seen a total of 8,400 real estate agents registered with Rent.com.au as well as a 38 per cent increase of non-agent listings since April.
Rent.com.au managing director Mark Woschnak said the company has exceeded growth expectations across all its customer bases.
“We had 517 new agents who registered with Rent.com.au during March, followed by a further 537 registering in April and 550 registering in May,” Mr Woschnak said.
“This activity has resulted in the growth of property listings on our site to the point that we are well ahead of schedule in attaining our goal of having more rental listings than any other site.”
According to Mr Woschnak, the sustained surge in traffic and agent numbers points to an increasing awareness of the portal.
“This awareness comes from the activities of the national sales team and the agent-focused marketing campaign that commenced several months ago and is being reinforced by the growing number of renters who use Rent.com.au to search for their next rental.”
After the company's successful completion of a $5.5 million rights issue and its work with specialist agencies in research, online user experience and media buying, Rent.com.au will be commencing a national marketing campaign to help increase renter retention and brand loyalty.
