One of Australia’s listing portals has teamed up with the AFL Players Association to offer insights into players’ real estate journeys.

RealestateVIEW’s promotional series will see five different AFL stars discuss the successes, mistakes and lessons of renting with mates, buying their first homes, upsizing their family homes and purchasing investment properties.

Richmond’s Jack Riewoldt is the first to be featured in the campaign, taking a behind-the-scenes look at his childhood home in Bellerive, Tasmania.

RealestateVIEW general manager Barry Pope said his company has carefully selected the AFL players involved in the video series to represent the various stages of the property life cycle, from first home buyers through to investors.

“While many people grow up admiring AFL players’ ability on the field each week, this four-part series demonstrates that they all still ask the same questions, make similar mistakes and are excited by the property search and purchase process, as anyone else in the property market,” he said.

Paul Marsh, chief executive of the AFL Players Association, said he was pleased to have realestateVIEW as a partner.

“With AFL players often having to relocate upon being drafted to a club, deciding on where to live and whether to rent or buy is an important aspect of their life, so having realestateVIEW.com.au come on board to demonstrate a simplified approach to this process is fantastic,” he said.

RealestateVIEW’s promotional campaign will commence 11 July with Jack Riewoldt’s video, followed by a series of clips featuring other AFL stars over the next two months.
