Professionals Real Estate reached a new milestone this week, as its 13-year strong fundraising efforts for the National Breast Cancer Foundation hit $3 million.
The fundraising achievement was announced at the annual international Professionals Real Estate conference in Melbourne, where the group also celebrated its 40th anniversary.
Professionals CEO Shane Kempton said the group is proud to be a longstanding partner of the NBCF.
The group contributes $10 from every property sale in Australia to the NBCF and organises fundraising events throughout the year, including golf days and Pink Ribbon breakfasts.
Individual Professionals offices also regularly hold cake stalls and raffles, “anything to help raise those much-needed funds”, Mr Kempton said.
“The money raised through all of these efforts contributes to life-changing research,” he said.
Professionals reiterated the message that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and eight women die from the disease every day in Australia.
One of the NBCF’s main aims is zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
Mr Kempton said he was proud of his team, but their efforts will not slow down.
“Every Professionals office and the people who have helped them raise funds should be extremely proud of this amazing fundraising achievement,” he said.
“Professionals won’t be resting on their laurels though. They will stay true to their core value of “together we create meaningful impact” and will continue their commitment to NBCF to ensure they win the fight against breast cancer.”
