McGrath Estate Agents has continued its expansion into Victoria, with the opening of its first regional office in the state.

The high-profile group will open in Geelong, the company’s ninth in Victoria as it continues to build its presence since first opening in St Kilda in 2015.

McGrath founder and executive director John McGrath said Geelong is both an important market for the group, and an important strategic step in the company’s growth plans for the state.

“Geelong has always been on our agenda,” he said.

“As the second largest city in Victoria outside of Melbourne, we are very optimistic about its future as an important growth centre.

"As more buyers recognise the value and lifestyle on offer in Geelong, I believe demand in the region will only continue to grow as this city also repositions its business economy from a manufacturing centre to services industries.”

Mr McGrath said the company has been on the lookout for suitable partners in Geelong, with the right depth of knowledge and local area experience.

“I believe we have done so with the Geelong team and we are extremely proud that they have joined us at McGrath," he said.

With a combined 32 years’ real estate experience McGrath Geelong will be led by David Cortous and Jim Cross, who will oversee a team of eight sales agents.

Mr Cortous said they are excited at the new prospect.

“McGrath is renowned for providing its clients with the highest levels of service and expertise and I believe our core values and ethics are aligned,” he said.

McGrath Geelong will service the area from Lara in the north, to Freshwater Creek in the south, to Clifton Springs in the east and Bannockburn in the west.
