Pursuing a piece of Melbourne’s inner west, McGrath Estate Agents has firmed up its Victorian footprint by opening an office in one of Melbourne’s most dynamic suburbs.
McGrath Yarraville is the company’s 10th franchise office in Victoria since it launched in St Kilda in December 2015, and its ninth in the Melbourne metro.
Founder and executive director John McGrath said Yarraville has undergone gentrification in the past decade and is now one of Melbourne’s newest urban hotspots.
“We see great potential for this trendy pocket in Melbourne’s inner west that offers a unique blend of architectural styles,” Mr McGrath said.
“Yarraville is a charming and lively suburb with a strong sense of community. Its proximity to the city and the bay, good transport links and village vibe will continue to drive demand and add to its desirability.”
McGrath Yarraville will be led by Daniella Weissbacher and Anthony Rizzo.
Ms Weissbacher, who has 22 years’ industry experience, will oversee the property management division of the business.
Mr Rizzo has more than 20 years of experience and rejoins McGrath after 10 years away. He said he was excited to return to McGrath, describing the move as “coming home.”
“I am thrilled and humbled to again have the opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s top professionals,” Mr Rizzo said.
Yarraville has experienced healthy growth in the last three years, with the median house price increasing by 30.8 per cent to $888,000.
Mr Rizzo attributes its popularity to its proximity to the city.
“It is just 10 minutes from the CBD, yet still offers value for money when compared to other inner ring precincts,” he said.
McGrath Yarraville will service the area from Maribyrnong in the north to Yarraville in the south, to Footscray in the east and Maidstone in the west.
