One leading property portal has made an unusual change to its landing page, giving agents the opportunity to significantly boost the advertising of their properties.

Realestate.com.au has launched Front Page, which targets buyers by suburb, with ads displayed based on a user’s previous search behaviour in the ‘buy’ section from the homepage.

With Front Page, a property will be advertised on the realestate.com.au homepage across all devices, including desktop, tablet, mobile and the realestate.com.au app, which has been downloaded more than six million times.

REA Group executive general manager – residential, Andrew Rechtman, said Front Page is about putting property first, ensuring the home is presented prominently to every buyer in the area.

“Consumers looking for their next home on realestate.com.au will also benefit from Front Page, seeing properties they may not otherwise have considered or viewed,” Mr Rechtman said.

Clarke & Humel Property principal, Michael Clarke, said Front Page would be beneficial to the firm’s agents.

“Front Page provides our agents with unprecedented reach to showcase our vendors’ properties to buyers looking for homes in our key area,” Mr Clarke said.

“The exclusivity of Front Page gives us a great opportunity to further differentiate ourselves from our competitors.”

Front Page is the latest of recent customer-focused initiatives by realestate.com.au, including Agent Search and Agency Profiles which provide more opportunities for agents to be discovered by vendors.
