Century 21 Team Brockhurst has been named the top sales team in Western Australia, by the Real Estate Institute of WA, for the number of properties sold in April.

The team achieved the top honours for the month with 16 property transactions, totalling over $7 million in value, successfully completed in a difficult market.

Principal Josh Brockhurst said the success can be attributed to his team getting the balance right.

“It’s a tough market in WA at the moment and prices have been coming down for the past few years. However, I believe achieving great results is just a matter of getting your pricing and marketing right, and adapting quickly to a changing market,” he said.

Mr Brockhurst said unique selling methods are important, and he paid credit to Century 21’s ‘Express Sale’ strategy which involves not disclosing a list price, allowing a vendor to gauge buyer feedback and reducing the under or overpricing risk.

Century 21 Australasia chairman and owner Charles Tarbey commended the result.

“Parts of the Perth market have really been struggling compared to the eastern seaboard, but I know from past downturns that this situation simply makes the top agents rise to the top as there is a greater need for clever negotiation between buyers and sellers in order for transactions to occur,” Mr Tarbey said.

“Josh and his team invest into upskilling all the time and utilise many of Century 21’s sales and marketing tools to great effect.

“It’s this type of proactive attitude that often creates the great real estate offices.”
