McGrath Estate Agents has announced the return of an agent with extensive global experience to its company-owned sales team.
David Imrie, who began his real estate career in New York more than 20 years ago, returns to McGrath’s Newtown office. He had previously worked in the company’s eastern suburbs location.
Mr Imrie brings a wealth of experience in many industries including the real estate, corporate and not-for-profit sectors. He is also an experienced auctioneer, trainer and public speaker.
“During my real estate career, I formed many important and lifelong friendships, and this aspect of the industry has always been a strong attraction for me,” he said.
“The industry has been through significant change in recent years and I believe now is an exciting time to again be a part of it.”
Mr Imrie said his decision to return to McGrath had been an easy one to make.
“McGrath is a great company, and the support, training and leadership is second to none.
“I believe McGrath is an industry leader and I am excited about returning.”
McGrath’s head of company sales Kon Stathopoulos said he was “thrilled” to welcome Mr Imrie back.
“His passion, determination and commitment to excellence is very much aligned with McGrath’s core values,” Mr Stathopoulos said.
Mr Imrie will service Newtown, Chippendale, Redfern, Alexandria and Erskineville.
In 2008, Mr Imrie was appointed to chair of the board of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. He has served as national executive officer of the Australian Veterinary Association, chief executive of not-for-profit organisation Keep NSW Beautiful and interim chief executive of Keep Australia Beautiful.
