Queensland’s leading property managers have been announced by the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ).

According to the REIQ this year’s awards attracted a record number of entries with a strong showing from regional Queensland in particular.

The finalists for the Residential Propetry Manager of the Year award came from across South East Queensland as well as Toowoomba, Gladstone and the Sunshine Coast.

The finalists are:-
-    Cyndi Ward, RE/MAX Gold, Gladstone
-     Loretta Morgan, Jam Property, Sunshine Coast
-    Katie Knight, RE/MAX Success, Toowoomba
-    Hayley Enders, Place Estate Agents, Coorparoo
-    Ranita Patel, Place Newmarket

REIQ CEO Anton Kardash said interest in the awards was growing as the Institute continued its journey of transformation.

“Next year, the REIQ celebrates its 95th anniversary – which makes us an iconic Queensland organisation – but just because we are 95 years old doesn’t mean we have to act like a nonagenarian,” he said.

“This year the REIQ has re-engaged with our members, we have listened to them, and we have responded as agilely as possible to their needs.

“We have renovated our suite of products and services, including reiq.com, developed a cutting-edge online registration course, and we have also reinvigorated the awards process by introducing finalist interview panels into the judging process.”

The winner of the prestigious award will be announced at the 2013 REIQ Awards for Excellence, incorporating the Institute’s 95th anniversary celebrations, which is to be held on Friday 8 February at the Hilton Hotel in Brisbane.
