The industry’s leading property management professionals came together yesterday for the inaugural Executive Roundtable hosted by Residential Property Manager.
Hosted at the Residential Property Manager office in North Sydney the roundtable addressed a number of key industry issues, including rent roll growth, changing technology and human resources.
Residential Property Managers’ features editor Stacey Moseley, who chaired the event, said the roundtable was a rare opportunity for thought leaders to come together and share ideas with a view to improving the industry.
“The roundtable was the first of its kind in the industry - never before have top industry professionals from the biggest brands around Australia had the chance to sit in an open forum and discuss major industry issues,” she said.
“What occurred was a vibrant discussion between participants about ways the industry can improve, with technological advancements being a key component.”
Roundtable participants included Sean Green, operations manager at Raine&Horne; Douglas Driscoll, CEO at Starr Partners; Michael Conolly, head of network property management at McGrath Estate Agents; Vasili Hadzellis, franchise service manager at Richardson&Wrench; Kayla Bishop, property management operations manager at Harcourts NSW Corporate; Gerri Keays, corporate property management executive at Ray White and Amy Sanderson, head of property management at LJ Hooker.
“To have such a great turnout really shows the need for more of these types of events in the industry,” Ms Moseley continued.
“We intend to make this a yearly event.”
Findings from the Executive Roundtable will be published in the May issue of Residential Property Manager. Video footage, insights and daily news updates from the event will also be available at http://www.rpmonline.com.au/.
