RUN Property ditches black tie for fast cars

One group has stepped away from using traditional incentives for staff, opting to motivate workers with 'once in a lifetime' experiences instead.

RUN Property, based in metropolitan Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, has introduced new thinking to the traditional incentive programs previously made available to staff.

Moving away from the industry norm of black tie events and the awarding of certificates, staff at RUN have the opportunity to participate in quarterly awards for top performers, who get to experience 'once in a lifetime' activities such as driving luxury, high performance vehicles around Melbourne, or flying through the skies of Sydney in a jet fighter.

The very first of these adventures was introduced in May 2013 when staff from across Australia were flown to Melbourne to collect their $600,000 Ferrari’s for the day and then drive them to the Mornington Peninsula.

The team then enjoyed an afternoon of driving through Red Hill, followed by a fine-dining experience at the renowned Port Phillip Estate.

The award days are part of RUN’s new rewards program, which recognises the top performing new business, property management and sales staff across the company for each quarter.

“At RUN we have always challenged conventional thinking and this is no different” said RUN Property CEO Rob Farmer.

“These award days recognise those who have achieved outstanding results for the company and we celebrate these achievements by providing adventures that are just as exciting as the team’s results”.

The next awards day, to be held in July, will see staff journey to Sydney to enjoy the heart-racing experience of a joy flight in a jet fighter.
