A new company is hoping to be the next big thing in real estate by becoming a national franchise dedicated to property management.
Recently launched in Queensland, Frog Rent has high hopes for sparking a new wave of exclusively property management offices.
According to the founders, poor communication, inconsistency, sub-standard service and poor attention to detail were ongoing problems within the property management sector, and they wanted to launch a company with the sole focus of managing properties.
Owner of GJ Gardner Homes and director of Frog Rent Greg Gardner said he was excited at the prospect of starting up a franchise.
“I am a massive fan of franchising and from our past successes believe we have developed a successful system that benefits everyone involved," he said.
“The industry is ripe for a national brand focusing on just property management, and we have had many comments already from people within the industry to say it is exactly what the industry needs."
The founders of the company have a wide variety or experience and success in a number of industries.
Co-directors Darren Wallis from Smith & Sons Franchise Systems, Len West and George Tsolozidis from Stacks of Snacks Franchise System and Luke Godwin from Team Godwin Real Estate have joined Mr Gardner to help drive the initiative.
According to Mr Gardener, property management has been shunned for too long.
“Traditionally, real estate offices have property management as the forgotten part of their business, tucked away at the back of the office, managed by a junior staff member. Frog Rent brings a professionalism and consistency to property management across Australia,” he said.
Frog Rent is looking to recruit independent agencies, new-to-industry franchisees, and even aims to recruit "established large real estate agencies that wish to live off their property management business".
