A start-up developer has teamed up with property photographers to produce an app designed to take real estate mobile marketing to the next level.

Property photography company Top Snap recently announced their strategic partnership with Snaploader, an up-and-coming app creator, to produce an app that helps real estate agents better utilise mobile in their marketing strategy.

The app allows users to take a picture of a property image from any ad, signboard or brochure with a mobile device, then view property information, 3D floor plans, agent details and more.

According to Top Snap, statistics indicate that smartphone usage in Australia is now more than 80 per cent and growing.

“More searches to property websites are from mobile devices than PCs, and 98 per cent of SMS messages are opened compared to the 22 per cent open rate for emails,” they said.

Top Snap owner and CEO Ralf Barschow said the statistics are compelling, and agencies that do not have a mobile strategy in place should seriously consider it to get more listings.

“We are delighted with this alliance, as it gives our active database of nearly 4,000 agents a head start in the market place,” Mr Barschow said.

Snaploader chief executive Eric Fink said the firm is always seeking alliances with companies at the forefront of introducing cutting-edge technologies to their clients.

“Over and above Top Snap’s appetite for the most innovative technologies, we see strong synergies between the quality of the content that Top Snap creates and Snaploader as the vehicle to deliver that content,” Mr Fink said.
