Last week, RPM asked property managers what they love most about their job. If you are having a tough day, these responses will definitely provide some much-needed positivity.
Minimal Boredom
Commenting on the RPM Facebook page, Lyn Kimball said she loves the enormous variety in the role, achieving the challenging negotiations and the continual learning process.
Decades of experience and you're still learning something; if you genuinely like working with and helping people, it is the choice job.
Jordan Taylor also said he loves that there is always room to grow and learn in the industry.
No matter how many years’ experience a person has, there is always something you can learn. The challenges that are set out on a daily basis don't only improve your career but they improve you as a person. Having patience and people skills is something I am always improving on with every task that is set for me.
Personal development and friendship
Jo-Anne Oliveri said she loves the opportunities to grow and achieve the personal goals she sets for herself.
I love that I can help property owners to achieve long-term financial security through property investing. I love that I can help tenants to feel at home, comfortable and valued. I love that through my good work as a property manager I help to strengthen our countries economy in several ways. So yes, when you think about it, property management is one of the best careers you can have. Is it any wonder why I love it so much? Oh and of course there is the friendships I have gained along the way and my own personal development.
Variety
Kelley Seaton commented that not one day is ever the same in the PM industry.
It's an amazing industry that has lots to offer!
Leah Calnan said that is her businesses tag line – ‘we love property management’.
We love it because of the variety of work that every day brings, the people you meet, the people you help and what you learn. It’s an exciting yet very challenging industry to work in, so you have to love it!
Independence
Samantha Marrot-Castellat summed her response up with one simple statement.
Complete autonomy.
