FRIDAY FUNNIES: Walk-in wardrobes bring ‘wow’ factor

By Staff Reporter
24 April 2015 | 5 minute read

Sparkling chandeliers, plush furnishings and spacious storage are all standard for the most important room in the house.

Expansive walk-in wardrobes are the dream of women all over the world, and maybe even a few men.

Full-length mirrors, built-in vanities, perfect lighting and custom-built seating are just some of the luxurious touches included in enviable closets.

Silk Home designer and stylist Naomi Findlay told News Corp that renters and buyers can crave everyday luxury in their home and that’s what a walk-in wardrobe provides.

“A walk-in robe is quite a common feature in luxury properties and can even double as a dressing room offering a lot of value to a home,” she said.

“Storage is key to a home and it’s so easy to tailor a walk-in robe for your specific needs – the space is more flexible compared to a dresser.”

Here are a few properties, currently on the market in Australia, with the best walk-in wardrobes.

18 Maryland Avenue Carrara, Queensland

29 The Strand Applecross, Western Australia

20 Diane St, Yeronga, Queensland

18 Barker Rd, Prospect, South Australia
