Mr Stewart was honoured for his embrace of technology, strong leadership and his willingness to share knowledge with other LJ Hooker businesses.

In another win for Queensland, Sunnybank Hills principal Peter Crowther was recognised as the network’s International Business Leader of the Year.

Mr Crowther’s Brisbane office, which placed fifth in this year’s Real Estate Business Top 50 Sales Offices ranking, has a reputation for innovation, according to LJ Hooker.

LJ Hooker Cessnock in regional NSW won the Innovation Award, while Cessnock principal Bryce Gibson was named Liveability Real Estate Specialist of the Year for educating the market on sustainable living.

In other awards, Roxanne Paterson from the Bracken Ridge office in Brisbane was named Best New International Talent, while Conchi Ferreiro from Brisbane West was named World Champion Property Investment Manager.

Alex Pattaro from the Concord office in Sydney was named Auction Idol, while Scott Gemmell from the Queensland project marketing office was named Auction Icon.

LJ Hooker Ormeau on the Gold Coast won the Community Relationship award, while LJ Hooker Far North Queensland claimed the Best Cell category.

The cell consists of seven real estate offices in Cairns Edge Hill, Cairns Marlin Coast, Cairns South, Cairns Yorkeys Knob, Atherton, Port Douglas and Tully, as well as Cairns brokerage LJ Hooker Home Loans Tropical North.

LJ Hooker’s annual conference was held earlier this week in Melbourne.

The event was attended by offices from around Australia, New Zealand, China, America, Dubai, India, Indonesia and Fiji.
