Have you ever dreamed of living in a floating home on one of Australia’s beautiful rivers, lakes or bays? It's one dream that may soon become a reality!
Fabulous floating residences could be coming to Australian waterways in the near future as developer EcoFloLife introduces a new style of living.
The WaterNest 100 is a 100 square metre floating pod that measures 12 metres in diameter and has several internal configurations to choose from (see below).
The pod includes a living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom and either one or two bedrooms.
The best feature of the WaterNest 100 is of course the large windows and two balconies that lie on either side of the residence, capitalising on the beauty of its location, wherever that may be.
The homes are made from a recycled aluminium hull and recycled glued laminated timber, all powered by 60 square metres of amorphous photovoltaic panels on the roof.
They can be positioned on rivers, lakes, bays and sea areas with calm waters, of which Australia has plenty.
The WaterNest 100 can also be configured as an office, restaurant, bar or shop.
