Property managers could boost their client relationships just by making one simple change to their email signature.

Justin Spencer from LJ Hooker Parramatta said his office includes photographs on client communications so landlords know the person with whom they’re dealing.

“Rather than seeing a signature, they get to see your face,” Mr Spencer told Residential Property Manager.

“It becomes more of a warm relationship and people feel as though they know you more personally simply by seeing you.”

LJ Hooker Parramatta operates a pod structure, which means landlords receive communications from multiple parties and therefore get to see multiple photos.

Mr Spencer said that makes it easier to retain clients when property management staff move on.

“Instead of being a new voice within the structure of the office, naturally we move someone within the pod and chances are the owner has seen their face before or spoken to them.

“Rather than having to build trust all over again, they already know or are familiar with that team member and things keep rolling smoothly.”
