A few lucky Perth property managers might now have some major bragging rights after a local development won an international award.
Property managers from Ellenbrook can now boast that they manage homes in the world’s best master-planned community (see below) after it won the World Prix d’Excellence Award at the International Real Estate Federation’s 66th World Real Estate Congress.
Twenty years ago, Ellenbrook was just an empty sand quarry, but a public-private joint venture has turned it into one of Australia’s fastest-selling residential estates.
Between 2001 and 2011, Ellenbrook’s population almost quadrupled, and it now sits at around 30,000. Eventually it could become a satellite city of 80,000 people.
The seven town centres ensure residents don’t have more than a 10-minute walk to shops.
Ellenbrook’s boundaries also include public and private schools, sporting facilities, parks and walking tracks.
Before this international award, Ellenbrook had already received 30 state and national awards, making it Australia’s most awarded new town.
