One of Hollywood’s most famous rentals is now up for sale – and the price has been slashed by 50 per cent.
The mansion featured in the classic 1983 film Scarface is listed for US$17.9 million after being on the market for more than a year.
In 2012 the Californian mansion was available for rent for a mere US$30,000 per month.
The 929 square metre mansion in Montecito, about two hours northwest of Los Angeles by road, has four bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and is completely surrounded by Persian gardens and several fountains.
The actual interior of the home varies from what was shown in the film, since the inside shoots were on a set destroyed during filming.
