New online program aims to take the fuss out of signing leases

Property managers no longer need to bring tenants into the office to sign a lease or harangue them to return the lease after it’s been emailed.

A new online program called iAgree has been designed to make it easier for property managers to create and send leases.

Property managers can start with iAgree’s templates or create their own, with the ability to add further clauses such as pets, gardening, or polished floorboards.

Director Liana Slipetsky said that leases can be created, customised, sent and signed by all parties online within minutes, so property managers can know when tenants have received the lease, reviewed it and signed it. Tenants can also be prompted if the lease is not signed.

Signatures are valid, traceable and binding since the leases include clauses based on the Residential Tenancies Act and additional terms and conditions, according to Ms Slipetsky.

Tenants can read and sign a lease agreement from any smart device, with multiple tenants no longer needing to be together to sign.

Confirmation of the lease is then emailed to the tenants and the process is then complete.

No apps or downloads are required to use iAgree, which can be used with any operating system, according to Ms Slipetsky.
