Dave Chappelle will have you crying tears of laughter as he explains why tenants don’t want their landlord to be addicted to crack-cocaine.
“That’s pressure,” he says. “If your landlord’s hooked on crack – that means you’ve got to have the rent.”
This clip is taken from a 1998 performance when Chappelle was just starting to make himself known in the entertainment industry.
Chappelle rose to prominence through his sketch comedy TV series Chappelle’s Show, which tackled sensitive topics such as race relations, drug usage and the pressures of the show business.
