An online rental portal has reported ongoing growth to its website, with a national mass-market branding campaign in the works.

Rent.com.au has achieved over 660,000 unique visitors during April 2016 while continuing to increase its agent registrations and landlord listings.

The company’s managing director Mark Woschnak said the ongoing growth in April has led to record results for Rent.com.au’s key targets and, combined with completed capital raising, provides a strong platform to launch an effective national marketing campaign.

“We have backed up the excellent results we had in March 2016 with yet another strong month of renter, agent and landlord customer growth, putting us in an excellent position to commence the mass market branding campaign and achieve our core objectives for this year,” he said.

“Following on from the 517 new agents who registered with Rent.com.au during March, we have had another 537 register in April, so that we now have more than 7,800 agents registered in total. This strong surge in agent numbers reflects the level of appetite by real estate agents for our offering.”

Mr Woschnak said the company expects the rate of registration to slow as Rent.com.au approaches market saturation, but remains focused on increasing sales activity.

“Our revenues are now increasing as our national sales team gain good traction in transitioning agents onto premium paid plans.”

Last month, Rent.com.au completed a $5.5 million non‐renounceable rights issue for the primary purpose of funding a mass-market branding campaign to drive the site’s next phase of growth.
