Concerned about your digital security? An American software asset management company has revealed its list of the 20 most vulnerable software applications businesses commonly use.
Flexera Software compiles a regular Vulnerability Update which highlights desktop computer programs that have been exploited.
Its list reveals that web browsers, PDF readers like Adobe Reader and even security programs such as IBM and McAfee are vulnerable.
Many of these programs are relevant to business owners in their day-to-day operations.
- Web browsers enable business owners to access the internet, but can also accidentally activate viruses and malware;
- PDF readers allow business owners to view .pdf files and are typically used to open digital copies of receipts and invoices; and
- Security programs which are meant to protect business owners from cyber attacks. However, those that are not regularly updated are unaware of the most recent threats, which can go undetected.
