One Queensland agent has been placed in the top 25 of Century 21’s global network, covering around 100,000 agents across 78 countries.
Century 21 On Duporth’s Damien Said was also the top performing agent in Century 21’s Australasian network, announced at the organisation’s annual global conference held earlier in Las Vegas.
Mr Said said he had an unorthodox entry into the business.
“I arrived in Maroochydore after finishing university and went around to a few local real estate offices in the area with long dreadlocks and no suit looking for a job. I was turned away, but I went back to one office the next day without the dreadlocks and with a suit on, and I got a start in real estate,” said Mr Said.
He also said while it might be a “bit of a catchphrase”, having a commitment to your clients is the key to real estate success.
“Real estate is a people business and to survive and succeed, you must be a good communicator and go above and beyond for your clients.”
“I’d like to thank my team for all their hard work on the Sunshine Coast and also Century 21 for the local and global recognition.”
Chairman of Century 21 Australasia Charles Tarbey is full of admiration for Mr Said’s achievement.
“Not many agents can say they are among the world’s best so I congratulate Damien on the dedication that has led him to be recognised as such,” said Mr Tarbey.
“The real estate industry is a competitive one and is facing new challenges, from disruption to changing market conditions; however, Damien embodies the qualities of an agent who is fit to succeed in markets of all types.”
