An Aussie innovator has developed a clever new technology that allows buyers to see what a property looks like in 3D, even adding virtual furniture to empty spaces, helping agents to win more listings and attract more buyers.
Visual tech company Snaploader’s new web-viewer enables potential buyers to access an interactive 3D model without the need to download an app.
Snaploader founder and developer Eric Fink said users can view the 3D model from every angle, on any device.
“The optimisation technologies that the run in the background ensure that the 3D models do not crash and run smoothly on all main search engines,” Mr Fink told REB.
“The 3D model removes the effort and frustration of having to visualise the space from looking at a 2D floor plan.”
Mr Fink said this technology is a natural progression of what has already been available for years.
“Two-dimensional floor plans have been around for hundreds of years and have virtually not evolved,” he said.
“A person studying a 2D floor plan will automatically attempt to imagine that space in 3D. They will look at the lines and try to imagine real walls, real doors, windows and hallways.”
Mr Fink said most buyers cannot accurately visualise what their potential home will look like just by looking at a 2D floor plan.
He said his firm’s 3D model will provide buyers with a more engaging experience, and they will spend more time – more than three minutes in some cases – on an agent’s website as a result.
“Snaploader interactive 3D models have become one of the most engaging online content in agent’s client marketing campaigns,” Mr Fink said.
“The number of views and the dwell time that Snaploader interactive 3D models are getting online is now overpassing even video in any given campaign.”
Snaploader also has a specialised project marketing solution, allowing users to examine entire floors and apartments before the building is built.
Snaploader’s 3D models are compatible with both the realestate.com.au and domain.com.au platforms. Prices vary but they are usually between $185 and $225, excluding GST.
