Australian agents are boosting their online presence and increasing their usage of lead generation tools, with one platform seeing more than 1,000 agents sign on this year so far.

LocalAgentFinder.com.au has had 1,253 agents join its platform this year.

CEO Matt McCann said the increase in numbers is a significant indicator of the direction market sentiment is taking, particularly with the property market currently in a state of transition.

“The strong growth in agents registering indicates that agents are diversifying how they seek business and understand how prospecting tools can benefit them,” Mr McCann said.

According to data from the platform, Aussie home owners have a renewed appetite for comparison sites. As many as 75 per cent start their search with a visit to the platform.

“This figure indicates vendors don’t know where to start when it comes to choosing an agent to sell their property, or they feel overwhelmed and want to look at the facts.

“Vendors prefer to compare like with like, which is what they are offered on a single page on our platform, enabling them to choose an agent with confidence.”

Other data reveals that 88 per cent of home owners who have connected with an agent through the platform put their property on the market within 12 months.

The platform receives an average of 8,000 vendor registrations every month, from first home sellers to experienced sellers and professional investors.

Agents who perform well through the platform are assigned an account manager to help them maximise their return on investment on the platform.

“Our client services team is on track to triple in size, to cater for the growth of home owners using the platform,” Mr McCann said.

“Agents can feel confident knowing that they are being presented with a strong lead, and insights about the vendor and what they want from their agent based on an unbiased conversation with our team.”
