The Agency has recruited the former CEO of a well-established residential and commercial real estate agency to head up its projects division.

Jean-Paul Markopoulos, former residential CEO of Sydney’s TGC, is experienced in negotiating over $2 billion in off-the-plan sales, with more than 25 years of knowledge in the projects business.

In his role as director of projects, he will utilise his skill set to procure boutique and large-scale projects and "house and land" subdivisions throughout the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Executive director of The Agency Projects Steven Chen said that he is pleased to welcome such an experienced performer to the business.

“With over 25 years in the projects space, Jean-Paul Markopoulos has developed a robust understanding of what is required to deliver developments to the market and the ability to fully accommodate and advise his developers,” Mr Chen said.

“Jean-Paul has been instrumental in some of Sydney’s most significant projects.”

Mr Markopoulos said that the move to join The Agency would give his team significant competitive advantage.

“I’m excited about working with the best professionals in our industry, being able to offer our services to more clients and being a part of bigger residential projects,” Mr Markopoulos said.

“The Agency Projects is bringing together the most experienced and highly regarded people in real estate project marketing. It has created a model that is more responsive to today’s property market with the power of extensive networking, database resourcing, use of the latest technology and cross-selling, overseas and local affiliate partners.”

The Agency Projects will focus on selling to the broader Asia-Pacific region.
