Belle Property Australasia has launched a commercial arm, appointing a local retail property expert to head up the new division.
The commercial division will be fronted by Michael Hanscomb, who began his real estate career 11 years ago and became one of CBRE’s most successful retail operators. He is also the son of Belle Property Australasia CEO Peter Hanscomb.
The junior Hanscomb has been charged with building the Belle Property Commercial brand.
Mr Hanscomb said that there are a number of reasons why he joined the Belle Property business.
He added: “Deciding to join Belle Property came down to the structure of the business; the franchisee financial structure is so attractive for top commercial agents coupled with the strength of the Belle Property brand in Australia and the fact that it’s a family business.”
The Belle Property Commercial brand launches with two franchises opening in key markets, one in Sydney’s CBD and the other in its inner west.
Andrew Vines will lead the CBD office while Rocco Tripodi will spearhead the inner west office.
Mr Vines is fluent in Mandarin after working in Hong Kong and Beijing for two years with CBRE. In 2011, he joined Burgess Rawson and became one of the leaders in Sydney strata sales.
Mr Tripodi will branch into the commercial division after working in the Belle Property Newtown business for the last five years.
Mr Hanscomb praised both of the office managers.
“We’re thrilled to have already established two franchise operations that show great promise for significant growth,” he said.
“We welcome Andrew and Rocco and look forward to supporting them in their business pursuits.”
Mr Hanscomb also said that he plans to expand the commercial operations nationally.
“We have plans in place to expand all across Australia,” he said.
“Long term, it is our ambition to create the premier commercial agency in all the specialised business lines within Australia.”
