Property in Tasmania just got a little more stylish as one of the country’s largest networks has added a home styling service to its repertoire of agent offerings.

Harcourts has joined forces with House Rules 2017 contestants Sean MacKay and Ella Cuthbert in an exclusive collaboration to launch "Harcourts at Home with Sean & Ella", a property consultation service offered to home sellers and buyers through the Harcourts network.

Harcourts Tasmania CEO Tony Morrison said that the collaboration is an important component of Harcourts’ strategic growth plans.

“People doing business with Harcourts in Tasmania will have the opportunity to engage with Sean and Ella prior to the house going on the market, and we believe it will be a real point of difference for those properties,” the CEO said.

“[They] won the hearts of Tasmania, and all of Australia, with their fresh and creative styling during the Channel 7’s House Rules most recent season.”

Mr Morrison said that industry research has shown that a home’s sales price can be maximised by presenting a well-styled property.

The new services include guiding sellers in preparing their home for sale, from interior design to renovation support.

Mr Morrison said that over the next 12 months, Harcourts will roll out a series of videos providing styling and renovation tips.

The series "Harcourts at Home with Sean & Ella" will be posted and shared on Harcourts Tasmania’s Facebook page.

The couple shared the renovation journey of their own home through the House Rules season.

Located on Hobart’s Eastern Shore with sweeping views of Howrah, the Derwent River and Mt Wellington, their home had not been renovated since it was built in the 1960s. It now boasts an open floor plan with a contemporary lounge, a chic kitchen and a large deck to take in the priceless views.
