Global franchisor RE/MAX LLC has been ranked eighth in top 10 of all franchise brands by Franchise Times in its annual Franchise Times Top 200+ survey, putting it alongside the likes of McDonald's , KFC and Marriott Hotels.

Franchise Times magazine is one of the USA’s top publications devoted exclusively to the global franchise community, operating for almost two decades.

RE/MAX Australia managing director Michael Davoren said that being ranked the top real estate franchise by Franchise Times is validation that RE/MAX is the worldwide leader in real estate.

“The annual ranking of the 500 largest US franchise systems is by global sales over the previous year,” Mr Davoren said.

“We are proud to be part of this incredible brand and network with more than 116,000 agents worldwide, and we all play a key role in what we’ve built together throughout the world. RE/MAX became and remains a world beater.”

Mr Davoren added that RE/MAX is represented in over 100 countries and territories, unmatched by other real estate brands.

“Our unique agent-centric business model attracts some of the best-performing agents in the industry and is one of the many reasons why the RE/MAX network continues to experience exceptional and enviable growth,” the managing director said.

Franchise Times' top 10 overall for this year are McDonald’s, 7-11, KFC, Burger King, Subway, Ace Hardware, Pizza Hut, RE/MAX, Domino’s and Marriott Hotels & Resorts.

Mr Davoren said that RE/MAX has also been named the top real estate franchise by Entrepreneur magazine in its annual Top Global Franchises list.

He also said that Franchise 500 ranking named RE/MAX as 11th overall and also recognized RE/MAX in its 2017 Top Fastest Growing Franchises list.
