A niche network in Victoria has won the top award for a specialised marketing campaign with a limited budget, for a promotion that broke all records.

Barry Plant Manningham has won the gong for best marketing campaign under $10,000 at the recent REIV Awards for Excellence. The office took out the Residential Marketing Award (Budget Under $10K).

The campaign revolved around the sale of a hilltop home in Melbourne’s Warrandyte, pitching the “sheer magnificence” of the home. It complemented the use of traditional tools with a heavy emphasis on targeted digital media, and the property became the most viewed on realestate.com.au for the entire 2016 with more than 430,000 views.

After four weeks, the campaign generated more than 250 mail enquiries and 200 phone enquiries, and 180 qualified buyers viewed the home by appointment. The property sold for over $3 million, setting a record price for the area.

Principal of the Manningham, Whitehorse and Eltham offices, Spiro Drossos, was thrilled with the result as well as the award.

“We are great believers in the fact that a good marketing campaign can have a significant impact on the price a seller achieves for their home,” the principal said.

“In this instance, we had an exceptional property to market, but we were looking for a class of buyers that wouldn’t normally be looking in that area for their dream home. Everyone involved in the campaign did an amazing job.”

The Barry Plant Manningham office was also awarded for its marketing expertise at the Barry Plant Awards for Excellence held in September.
