A niche Queensland group has made an executive appointment in order to steer it through its latest growth phase.
Coronis has named Karuna Dimelow as its new chief operating officer, effective from 1 November.
Ms Dimelow started with Coronis 14 years ago as a new-to-industry real estate agent. Since then, she has risen through the ranks to office manager and, most recently, area leader for seven Coronis offices.
Ms Dimelow will oversee all aspects of Coronis headquarters, including events, administration, contracts, recruitment, marketing, operations, Concierge and IT.
Managing director Andrew Coronis said that the introduction of a COO into the group is a natural evolution of Coronis’ organisational structure.
“In order to maintain our recent growth, we have had to re-evaluate how we can keep up with the demands of the business and create the right structure to fuel future expansion and profitability,” Mr Coronis said.
“Karuna has been a valued and talented member of our leadership team for many years now and has played an integral role through Coronis’ significant periods of growth.
“I know she will excel in this new position with her strong leadership skills and industry expertise and will positively affect all aspects of the business.”
Ms Dimelow said that she was “incredibly excited” about this new opportunity.
She is keen to propel the group to its goal of 40 offices in the next two years, she said.
“I have loved helping my clients and team members over the years on their real estate journeys, but I’m ready for a new challenge,” the new COO said.
“My new role is designed to support and enhance Coronis’ operational excellence, efficiency and creativity as we continue to grow as a market leader in the property services industry.
“Coronis has a relentless focus on customer service and offering innovative solutions for our clients, and I believe I can add further value to the property transaction by implementing efficiencies throughout the business and, in particular, finetune our Coronis Concierge service.”
