Within just six weeks of joining, The Agency’s newest rising star has wasted no time in putting her competitors on their toes by setting a new suburb record in her local catchment area.

Bethwyn Richards has sold a semi-attached house in Clovelly in Sydney’s eastern suburb for above $4.3 million this month, a new suburb record.

CEO of The Agency Matt Lahood said that throughout her career, Ms Richards has dominated the high-end property market.

“Bethwyn continues to amaze me, how she has been a top agent in this industry while juggling a young family,” Mr Lahood said.

“Over her 22-year career, she has consistently ranked the number one and two female agent at her previous network and set numerous records along the east coast of Sydney.

“She is also a wonderful and supportive mother to three boys. I take my hat off to Bethwyn and am humbled she has joined The Agency.”

Mr Lahood said that her defining service qualities are high energy, focus and connection.

Ms Richards concurs.

“I focus on understanding and connecting with both vendors and purchasers. I ensure they feel completely confident in the process and gain the trust they require in these very delicate negotiations,” she said.

“From that trust and relationship building, many of the properties I have sold I have subsequently gone on to sell a second, third or fourth time.”

Ms Richards said that the industry has shifted over the last 18 months.

“There has been an injection of renewed energy for both agencies and individual agents,” she said.

“The Agency has a very strong presence in the market and this felt like a great move for me. The boutique look and feel of the brand is the perfect fit for my clients and the type of properties I sell.”

An avid runner, Ms Richards paid homage to The Agency’s new Bondi Beach location.

“It’s a magnificent space to work from,” the agent said.

“To be immersed in the cosmopolitan feel of this great beachside location. It’s a great place to meet clients for a quick lunch or coffee in the beautiful restaurants and to see my like-minded clients running coast to coast in the mornings.”
