A leading boutique real estate group has announced that it will open a new office in one of Sydney’s fastest developing western suburbs.

Starr Partners has opened a new office in Glenmore Park, to be led by Nigel Lock who manages the nearby Starr Partners Penrith office.

Mr Lock, who has lived in the area for 10 years, said that Glenmore Park has seen an influx of first home buyers in the last 12 months.

He said that “affordability and quality” is driving more young families and couples to the area than ever before.

“Penrith is transforming as a really trendy hub, but Glenmore Park is only a stone’s throw away, and the price point of detached homes makes the suburb more attractive to first home buyers,” Mr Lock said.

“The area has quality schools and this will only continue to increase interest in the suburb, which is expecting a population increase to 250,000 within the next 20 years.”

Mr Lock added that the move is a natural extension of his existing business.

“I’m excited to raise the bar in Glenmore Park and formally establish the Starr Partners brand in the suburb after operating in Penrith for the past 10 years,” the agent said.

“Penrith was recently named as one of Australia’s top 10 fastest growing areas, but I think we’re not far off having Glenmore Park compete to be on this list. In fact, we’ve seen individual dwellings in the entire region experience significant increase over the past few months.”

Mr Lock said that Glenmore Park is expected to have more than 10,000 individual dwellings by 2019 — 7,600 more than surrounding suburbs including Penrith.

Douglas Driscoll, Starr Partners CEO and 2017 Business Leader of the Year finalist at the Optus My Business Awards, said that the new office will add immense value to the group.

“I’m thrilled at the new addition to our group,” Mr Driscoll said.

“Nigel has built a successful office in Penrith and his knowledge and experience in the region makes him the ideal candidate to lead the new office in Glenmore Park.”

The new office is located at the Glenmore Park Town Centre, which recently underwent a $30 million extension.
