Zed Nasheet, one of Australia’s most notorious real estate agents for his outrageous social media campaigns, has announced that he has left the LJ Hooker network and opened his own independent office, branded Zed Real Estate.
Mr Nasheet said that he was prompted to make the move into his own business to make a legacy and create a prestigious brand in the industry.
“I also wanted to bring innovation and change to the industry,” Mr Nasheet told REB.
“Social media is huge and I’ve really taken advantage of that with my unique way of marketing the properties we are selling.”
On the decision to go independent rather than stay with LJ Hooker, Mr Nasheet said that he was ready to go out on his own as the time was right.
“It felt like the right time,” the agent said.
“People were actually coming to me because of my name, my approach, my energy, enthusiasm and product knowledge. I felt like it was time to start my own show.”
He also said that making the move wasn’t motivated by changing networks.
“I want to be an industry leader, not a follower,” Mr Nasheet said.
“I also wanted to take the risk while I was young so I could create a brand for myself. My vision is that Zed is the brand. In 10 years, I’ll just be the name behind the brand.”
He said that his growth plans are ambitious.
“I want to go as far as this brand can go. That means international, everywhere. I’ve already had two enquiries for franchisees and this is something that I will be moving towards in the future as I grow the business.
“I’m hoping these first two franchises will open in NSW in Sydney. It’s not really about me anymore. It’s about the brand called Zed that will become synonymous with excellence in real estate all over the world.”
Mr Nasheet was one of LJ Hooker’s top agents in Victoria in 2016.
Zed Real Estate opened its doors on 24 November 2017 and has already listed 34 properties and sold nine.
