The Agency has made another strategic appointment to its high-rolling projects division as it positions itself to leverage the significant advances emerging in the development market.
Tony Chen has been appointed to the new role of channel partner manager in The Agency Projects, after having worked closely with division director Steven Chen.
Steven Chen said that this role is a “vital addition” to the projects team.
The Agency sells anywhere between 60 per cent and 80 per cent off-the-plan developments directly, and the balance is made available to affiliate agents.
“This means channel partners have become more important to the sales process over the last two years,” Mr Steven Chen said.
“By appointing a full-time resource in Tony Chen to channel partner management, this will further enhance our service and reach with affiliate networks. Tony is the consummate professional, extremely diligent and highly process-driven. And his ability to speak Mandarin is a significant asset.”
Mr Stephen Chen also said that The Agency is working with a number of exclusive technological partners.
“These are agent-based platforms that can connect more than 30,000 agents to our off-the-plan, residential and commercial properties.”
Mr Tony Chen said that he is excited about the new role.
“Opportunity is always exciting and we have a real opportunity here,” the appointee said.
“Over the last three years, I have shadowed Steven Chen domestically and internationally.
“While Steven masterminds the strategy, I have worked on implementation and focused on pricing methodology.”
Until now, Tony Chen has been working on enhancing The Agency Projects’ in-house CRM system.
During this time, he has nurtured international affiliate relationships and built several channel partner alliances.
Tony Chen’s announcement follows the recent appointment of Matt Carver as associate director in Melbourne.
