The Agency’s projects division has made a significant appointment in its Gold Coast office.

It has acquired the services of former national director of project marketing with Colliers International Australia, Tony Hymus, who now takes the position of senior director on the Gold Coast.

Director of The Agency Projects Steven Chen said that the division has positioned itself at the pinnacle of the property marketing sector on the Gold Coast and is gaining extensive enquiry on large-scale developments.

Mr Chen said that the executive team has forecast the execution of 1,000 apartments along the east coast throughout 2018, adding that with this scale of interest, it is “imperative” to have an experienced senior executive on the ground in the region.

“It is very rare to find someone of Tony Hymus’ experience in terms of years in the role and volume of sales,” the director said.

“He has personally overseen close to $900 million in project sales and spent more than 20 years in the corporate sector.

“I am also deeply impressed by the way Tony conducts himself professionally. He has a ‘can do’ attitude, is in line with the targets we have put forward and our clients have overwhelming praise for Tony.”

Mr Chen added that Mr Hymus possesses “a depth of knowledge” across the marketing of off-the-plan apartments, finished developments, home and land packages and development sites.

He also said that it is Mr Hymus’ strategic approach that sets him apart.

“Tony always has the end game in mind. He knows the right people and gives the right advice, [and] it is all his years of experience that allow him to do this.

“He is an elite marketer and a well-grounded family man.”

Mr Hymus said that The Agency Projects understands the way to do business in this sector of the market.

“The last 20 years of project marketing experience on the Gold Coast, including my previous corporate role, has underlined the critical importance of providing my clients with a complete service across all aspects of a project,” Mr Hymus said.

“This can start with the due diligence period in the acquisition of a site, but must extend through to settlement of the final property in any project.

“Few project marketing entities efficiently offer this to clients, but at The Agency, this is an integral part of our business model.”

Mr Hymus will be responsible for The Agency Projects’ existing clientele on the Gold Coast.

He will work closely with Steven Chen and Elizabeth Brunton on sourcing new business opportunities.
