Ray White has announced that a former AFL premiership player has joined its network.

Jamie Charman has joined the leading group.

The towering former ruckman with the Brisbane Lions has joined Ray White principals David Treloar and Dwight Ferguson as a sales agent in their Albion office.
Mr Charman said that the move is like going full circle.

“I actually worked for Ray White Corporate part-time while I was still playing, so it feels so right to come back to this great brand — it’s a household name,” Mr Charman said.

“I’ve always been passionate about residential property, and [I] have bought and sold through Ray White many times.”

Mr Charman said that he is a “northside product”.

“I grew up in Sandgate and Bracken Ridge and I have always had a strong connection to the northside,” the agent said.

“I grew up playing for Sandgate Hawks from Under 7s and was drafted from the Northern Eagles at Zillmere.”

Mr Charman added that his interest in property is deep-seated.

“During my professional and footballing career, I always bought and sold property and did my own small developments.

“So, property has always been a passion of mine, and I’m looking forward to helping people in this exciting field full time.”

He added that he is excited by what the future holds.

“I know what the auction process feels like for both the vendor and the buyer. I have been on both sides, so I have a good understanding and empathy for anyone going through this process.

“I know it’s a stressful time for many buyers and the property market can sometimes be difficult to navigate — I am here to guide people through the process with how I’d like to be treated as a vendor or buyer. I believe integrity is a major part of it from both sides.”

Mr Charman added that he has ambitions of opening his own business.

“I’ll make no secret of the fact I want to learn from the best in the industry and then open my own office,” the agent said.

“I truly understand what buyers and sellers go through and I’m looking forward to bringing that knowledge and understanding to my clients so I can offer a truly personalised end-to-end service.”
