An award-winning performer in the LJ Hooker network has opened his third office in as many years after only joining the group in 2015, to pounce on the opportunities unfolding in one of the country’s fastest rising geographies.
David Manby has added LJ Hooker Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast to his flourishing Robina and Mudgeeraba agencies.
Mr Manby’s initiative complements other existing LJ Hooker franchise owners who have continued to increase their commitment to the brand.
In the Sydney suburb of Willoughby, John McManus will open his second office in the area.
Also in Sydney, Brendon and Diana Clark of LJ Hooker Green Square – Waterloo have been granted a licence to open nearby LJ Hooker Kensington.
On the New South Wales’ South Coast, LJ Hooker Sanctuary Point’s Marty and Jade Stanfield have expanded to open LJ Hooker Vincentia.
Earlier in the month, LJ Hooker Double Bay and LJ Levi announced a merger to form LJ Hooker Double Bay Group with offices in Double Bay and Rose Bay.
Also, LJ Hooker Commercial Brisbane principal Ben Armstrong has opened the doors of the new Brisbane City Residential offices.
LJ Hooker’s head of network growth, Ben Mitchell, said that there is “no greater testament” to brand confidence than when current operators choose to expand their existing commitments.
“Employing additional team members and engaging new marketplaces, while continuing to operate existing businesses, is never an easy operation,” Mr Mitchell said.
“But these new ventures underline the success of their current operations and the conviction they have in the future of LJ Hooker.”
Mr Mitchell also said that LJ Hooker has “welcomed back” a clutch of former members of the LJ Hooker “family”.
He said that Leanne and Allen Spokes have reopened the agency in Tamworth where they formerly worked.
“We’re ecstatic that they’ve made it a family venture by also bringing in their son Sam and his wife Kateyln.”
Mr Mitchell also said that Bryce Gibson, who started his career at LJ Hooker more than 15 years ago, and now with his wife Mellissa, is the franchise owner of LJ Hooker Cessnock and has relocated to the historic Cowman’s Building in the town center.
“Originally built in 1921, the Gibsons have given the building a contemporary fitout while doing justice to its considerable past,” Mr Mitchell said.
