A McGrath subsidiary has been named as one of the top performers in its discipline, securing a top-five spot in the mortgage industry’s preeminent rankings.

Oxygen Home Loans, a fully owned subsidiary of McGrath Estate Agents, has secured fourth place in The Adviser’s Top 25 Brokerages ranking for 2018.

Oxygen is also the first on the list that is not a mortgage aggregator.

The Top 25 Brokerages ranking is a benchmark report highlighting and celebrating the very best brokerages in Australia. The ranking is determined by scores in five key areas: total book size, total loans settled, total volume of loans settled, book size versus years in business and average broker volumes, all based on figures in the 2016–17 financial year.

General manager of Oxygen Home Loans Alan Hemmings said that he is pleased to have ranked so highly.

“This is a great result for the team and a recognition of their hard work and dedication to serving their clients,” the GM said.

“It has been an interesting time for the mortgage industry, and to watch the team move with all the changes and work together to ensure everyone succeeds is one of the most pleasing aspects of the result.

“Our brokers speak on a daily basis sharing scenarios, discussing best lenders, and I believe this has contributed to the continued growth and success of the business.”

Mr Hemmings said that Oxygen’s loan book is valued at $2,759 million, up by 15 per cent from the previous financial year. In 2017, Oxygen placed number eight on the list.

Mr Hemmings added that he was looking forward to 2018 as Oxygen continues to grow and recruit new brokers while providing the “very best” service to its clients.

Oxygen Homes Loans is a full-service mortgage broking division with over 32 brokers operating across the entire McGrath network of offices.

Oxygen also won the MFAA Finance Broker Business – 6+ Loan Writers (NSW) in 2017, Best Broker Group in 2014 and Major Brokerage of the Year in 2012.
