One of the country’s sharpest moving boutiques has opened an office in a particularly active Sydney market as it continues to spread the influence of its unique franchise model.

Stone Real Estate has set up an office in the trendy Sydney suburb of Newtown in the city’s inner west.

It has also drawn award-winning former Belle co-principal Joseph Tropiano to head the new office.

Mr Tropiano said that the opportunity to join the Stone Group was too good to pass up.

“The potential posed by being able to prospect in such a large, sought-after market using Stone’s unique one-database model is unprecedented,” Mr Tropiano said.

“Introducing this refreshing approach into the inner west is such an exciting opportunity, there was no way we could not take it up.”

The new office head said that the Stone model allows him to extend his reach.

“This system allows us to bring more buyers to our customers and offer a more streamlined service to absolutely everyone we deal with.

“The Stone model simply makes more sense, especially in this part of Sydney which is so densely populated and where real estate is so active.”

The move means that he is now able to operate in a “true” one-database environment.

He said: “Any agency in any office can actively help clients across the board. It means that we don’t have to start brand-new conversations with clients — we can effectively pick up where they have left off.”

Stone Real Estate’s franchise growth manager, Luke Cameron, said that the new signing is momentous for the group, given the stature of Mr Tropiano in the market.

“The significance of Stone attracting an award-winning co-principal with an unmatched track record in one of the most popular and dynamic areas of Sydney could not be underestimated,” Mr Cameron said.

“Mr Tropiano is renowned as a real force in the inner west market and has been for many years.

“He understood immediately what we were offering and quickly made the decision to join Stone, which is testament to what we are doing and providing these elite well-known performers who are now coming to us.”

Mr Cameron called Mr Tropiano’s track record “unparalleled”, adding that he is “revered” as a major force in the region’s property market.

“Mr Tropiano is ideal to drive Stone Newtown into a powerhouse operating in a larger area than traditionally offered.

“Few can match his award-winning track record and results that have consistently put him top of his field.”

Mr Tropiano will be joined by asset manager Adrian Vassallo.

Stone Newtown will cover Marrickville, Newtown, Enmore, Alexandria, Erskineville, Chippendale, Camperdown, Darlington and Stanmore.
