Brands that uniquely bridge brand values and digital innovation will emerge as the winners in an ever-changing marketplace, LJ Hooker’s elite team heard this month.

Across six capital cities, 1,400 principals, sales and property management specialists turned out for LJ Hooker’s Ignite18 annual roadshow, hearing strategies and priorities to assist offices in winning more market share this year.

Keynote speaker, futurist and business technology specialist Steve Sammartino outlined the need for professionals to embrace the fact that digital change would be ongoing.

Mr Sammartino said that while tech advancements enhanced convenience and efficiency in everyday activities, consumers still wanted to understand what a brand and its people offered on a “humanised” level.

“The biggest opportunity right now in technology is trust,” Mr Sammartino said.

“The one thing you need to rely on when things are changing so rapidly is trust: who can I trust; who’s been around for a long time?”

LJ Hooker network chief Graeme Hyde said that while the LJ Hooker brand was a leader in digital innovation, personal service still underlined the brand’s proposition.

“LJ Hooker heavily invests in digital innovation,” Mr Hyde said.

“But at the end of the day, technology is a key enabler for our personal interactions.”

Mr Hyde added that Ignite18 was the group’s largest ever roadshow around Australia.

“Our network members connected with our unique offering,” the network chief said.

“Our digital innovations improve productivity, market exposure, reporting and more. But LJ Hooker has also built up a legacy across several generations, building trust in families and communities in our commitment to their needs as sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants.”

Mr Hyde said that it’s important that the industry never loses sight of the inherent consumer desire for trust.

“Especially when we work in an industry where people are making major commitments,” the network chief added.
