Real estate agents from all over Australia will soon descend upon the Gold Coast to hear from some of the world’s “most visionary” thinkers who are transforming the real estate landscape, for the 21st edition of AREC.
The event will bring 32 speakers to the Gold Coast for the two-day conference as they deep dive into the factors expected to shape the future of real estate.
Founder John McGrath hopes that the conference will arm delegates with “priceless” information and practical strategies that will help them take their business to a new level.
“This year’s event will have the strongest line-up of real estate speakers ever assembled in Australasia,” Mr McGrath said.
The strength of the conference comes from the range of speakers and the topics they cover, the founder said.
“Not only do we have the largest speaker group, but the depth and diversity is the best in AREC’s 21-year history. We have always evolved our themes and, of course, nowadays you can’t have a world-class real estate event without topics such as social media, digital and the changing consumer landscape being front and centre,” Mr McGrath said.
General manager of Total Real Estate Training (TRET) Nichola Byrne, organiser of AREC, said that the 21st edition will be a milestone event.
“Turning 21, we feel AREC has had a coming of age, and as such, we have designed a program and selected speakers to reflect this,” Ms Byrne explained.
Opening the program will be the most requested speaker from AREC attendees, Tom Ferry, who is returning for the fourth time.
His key messages for AREC18 will be on Mindset, Model and Marketing: The 3 Pillars of Success.
“Success starts with your mindset, success grows based on who you model yourself after, and success reaches all new heights through powerful marketing,” the speaker said.
Other keynote speakers include international guests like Amanda Lindhout, a New York Times bestselling author; Chris Helder, a communication “genius” with clients like Citibank & IBM; Dolly Lenz, the founder and CEO of Dolly Lenz Real estate; and Dr Fred Grosse, the first-ever AREC keynote speaker.
Australia-grown speakers include renowned trainer Josh Phegan, and Simon Cohen, the co-founder of Cohen Handler, one of the largest buyer’s agencies in Australia.
Last year’s AREC had a record 4,160 attendees from across the country and New Zealand.
The conference will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday, 27 May, and Monday, 28 May.
