Fourteen Australian charities have been given grants by The Harcourts Foundation, the charitable arm of Harcourts Group Australia, during its most recent funding round.
In total, $51,740 was donated across Australia to benefit various charities that cover a wide range of causes.
The Harcourts Foundation coordinator, Julia Eyles, said that the latest group was a demonstration of charities that were important to Harcourts employees.
“This quarter’s group of 14 charities represents a cross-section of causes supported by Harcourts franchisees and team members,” she said.
In total, $51,740 was donated across Australia to benefits various charities that cover a wide range of causes.
Most of the donations come from Harcourts branches that contribute a set donation with every property sale.
The franchise owners in each state then have the opportunity to nominate and support the organisations that impact the community.
In the latest round the largest single grant was for $6000 which went to Kevin Heinze GROW (Vic), a group that works with children and adults to provide, enhance and promote the benefits of horticulture-based therapy.
Other charities receiving grants include Goolwa Surf Lifesaving Club, Orange Sky Australia, Next Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Inc (VIC) and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (SA).
Since its inception in 2008, The Harcourts Foundation has raised over $5 million for charities around the world.
This has meant that in a decade, 686 charities have been supported, 311 communities have been positively impacted and 851 grants have been made around the world.
