An independent agency is set to open a new office in regional New South Wales, making it their fifth office in the regional marketplace.

Stone Real Estate is adding the Hunter Valley into its fold, with former McGrath agent David Tanchevski at the lead.

Mr Tanchevski will lead the Stone Real Estate Hunter Valley and Stone Lake Macquarie offices, bringing the agency’s rural offerings to five following the addition of Illawarra, Wollongong and Toukley last year.

He will be joined by area agents Michael Hurley and Debra Ford who have been working in the region.

Mr Tanchevski said that he was excited to join the agency in an area which is proving to be a magnet for people from the city.

“The Hunter Valley poses massive opportunity now for growth, with the freeway changes over the past few years having made the entire area far more accessible. Stone Real Estate’s one-client database is a huge advantage for us when reaching out to Sydney buyers and beyond,” the agent said.

Stone Real Estate head of franchising Luke Cameron said that Stone was confident in its appointment of Mr Tanchevski to lead the office.

“We couldn’t be happier with Mr Tanchevski’s move to head up this important regional area for Stone,” Mr Cameron said.

“He is one of the best when it comes to unifying teams and getting the most out of people. There is nothing but praise out there for him as an operator as well as a people person.”

According to Sydney University research, now is the right time for the agency to enter the Hunter region.

The Hunter Valley was found to be one of 2018’s most attractive areas for not only sea-changers but many of Sydney’s key workers in nursing, policing, ambulance services and teaching.

The study pinpointed Lake Macquarie, Cessnock and Maitland as the three most popular Hunter and Central Coast suburbs for these workers.
