The Agency has recruited an international coach to head up training and performance across the network, one that has experience working with both high-profile corporates and elite sports organisations.

The Agency has partnered with Rik Rushton, who will work exclusively as its in-house trainer.

CEO Matt Lahood said that, in 2018, the network will consolidate its growth by investing in infrastructure.

He was proud to announce Mr Rushton’s engagement.

“The company is focused on incorporating best business practices, and partnering with the right in-house trainer was a crucial step,” Mr Lahood said.

“Rik is renowned as a coach and trainer nationally and internationally, not just within the real estate industry but within elite sport and the finance sector. He will be undertaking an intensive training and coaching schedule as part of our ongoing commitment to providing agents with further education, growth and support.”

Mr Lahood also said that Mr Rushton’s appointment is of strategic value to the brand.

“In this fast-paced, constantly evolving business environment, we need the best thought leaders on board to empower our team and deliver a safe and sustainable work environment.”

Mr Rushton said that he spent over a quarter of a century working as an agent and running his own business, consistently earning million-dollar annual fees.

He said that his training, coaching and speaking work has taken him around the world, including presenting twice at the NAR real estate conference in the United States.

“I love working with great organisations at the top of their game and there is no greater organisation in the real estate landscape than The Agency,” Mr Rushton said.

“There are very few real estate brands that offer agents this type of intensive in-house training. My focus is going to be on adding structure, process and growth for the agents. I want every agent to reach their full potential at The Agency.”

Mr Rushton added that he has worked for NAB, CBA and Aussie within the banking sector, and for Cricket Australia, Cricket Victoria, Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs in elite sport.
