The finalists in the 12 categories for the Leading Property Managers Association Awards have been announced, with the list including names from agencies all over the country.
LPMA Australia national manager Jodie Stainton said that these awards are to recognise the best in the industry.
“The LPMA awards are an opportunity for the best in our industry to shine and get the recognition that they deserve,” Ms Stainton said.
“We’ve had a record number of submissions this year and the bar was set extremely high.”
The categories include Excellence in Business Development, Excellence in Customer Service and Excellence in Innovation, with the last one being a new category.
The new category focuses on agencies who are at the forefront of the digital evolution.
Tim Ellis, from Magic Rentals, is a finalist in three categories. He said that he entered the awards to prove himself against the best of the best.
“I felt we had a lot of work to do, but it takes something like this to make you realise how far we’ve come,” Mr Ellis said.
“The whole team is going to love this. It gives them recognition for the hard work they have done and demonstrates what we can achieve when we stick to our processes.”
The awards are conducted as part of the LPMA conference, held on the Gold Coast in May, which is mostly attended by independent agencies.
Ms Stainton said that more than 60 per cent of attendees came from non-franchise businesses from all over Australia.
“Independent agencies don’t always get the opportunity for camaraderie, shared learnings and technological guidance, which is where LPMA comes in,” Ms Stainton said.
The awards will be the crown jewel of the conference that will focus on data and how agencies can harness it to gain better customer outcomes.
“People in our industry work so hard, so we pride ourselves on putting together a really special night that reflects their commitment,” the national manager said.
